Crowd being filled with the Holy Spirit in Pratipadu India! |
Pratipadu, India April 2008! We are excited to bring this
report of what God is doing in India as a result of your
partnership. The Gospel is advancing and people are being rescued
from the kingdom of darkness.
On the opening night, there was a light crowd of 412 people. But the
Lord opened the ears of two partially deaf people on stage. By the
fourth and final night the crowd grew to 3,802 people. |
During the four nights, 4,911 people responded to the call for
salvation. On ‘Holy Spirit’ night, about 2,400 were filled and speaking in
tongues. Praise God for what He is doing in India!
Our director received calls from the remote village pastors after the
festival was over. They stated that on the following Sunday their churches
had already grown 30 to 40 percent. Also, their existing members came on
time to the services. (It is very unusual for anything to be on time in
India). They sang and praised with zeal and power, and boldly testified of
miracles that happened in their lives during the festival. The pastors
contributed the visible change in their members to the baptism in the Holy
Spirit.
With the preaching of the gospel, Jesus confirms His word with
accompanying signs. Here are some of the miracles. A man who broke his
forearm four months before our arrival was healed. Previously he couldn’t
lift a small, plastic container of water for bathing. On the night of his
healing, he was lifting Mark’s heavy backpack over his head.
Six people who were all deaf to some degree each received their hearing.
One man who was paralyzed on the left side of his body was healed. He was
bending his arm and leg freely. A man was healed of an injury from an auto /
rickshaw accident. Previously, he couldn’t sit up and down freely. Now he
has total movement .
A lady was oppressed with stiffness and pain in her leg for five
years which did not allow her to walk properly. Jesus healed her of this
tormenting condition.
In the months to come, the churches will grow in size, more churches will be
born, and souls will continue to be rescued from hell as a result of this
festival.
